A practical checklist for evaluating Telegram bot agencies — technical skills, payment experience, hosting, and support.
BDBOTS has shipped 1000+ Telegram bots since 2019. Here's what we tell clients to look for when hiring any agency — including us.
1. Production framework experience
Ask which libraries they use. Pyrogram and Telethon are the industry standard for Python bots. Avoid developers who only use Bot API wrappers without understanding session management, flood limits, or user-account vs bot-account tradeoffs.
2. Payment integration track record
If you need bKash, Nagad, Stripe, or crypto, request case studies with real transaction flows — not mockups. Payment bots need duplicate detection, admin verification, and audit logs.
3. Hosting and uptime
A bot that goes offline loses revenue. Confirm 24/7 monitoring, automatic restart, backup sessions, and who handles on-call incidents.
4. Code ownership and handover
You should receive source code, deployment docs, and environment variables. Avoid lock-in where only the agency can deploy updates.
5. Post-launch support
Telegram API changes, spam attacks, and feature requests happen after launch. Clarify maintenance SLAs and hourly rates before signing.
Red flags
- Fixed-price quotes without a discovery call
- No portfolio or verifiable client references
- Promises of "unlimited users" without architecture discussion
- No staging environment for testing before production
